Malwarebytes deliberately leaves most of this out of the box — no bundled password manager or backup, and its VPN (Malwarebytes Privacy) is a separate paid add-on rather than part of Premium. It's a focused tool, and that's the point, but on bundled features alone it's not in the same conversation.

If you want the convenience of never having to worry about it running out, go for the auto renewal, but if you're on a budget, it's almost better to just buy it again for the cheaper price rather than pay nearly double every year after.
Value-wise: if you'll use the VPN and backup, Norton is the best deal despite the higher list price. If you just want clean, light protection and don't care about extras, Bitdefender costs less to run over time. Malwarebytes is the cheapest way to add a second layer.

I keep pulling Malwarebytes out of the head-to-head because putting it there does it a disservice. It isn't a worse version of Norton or Bitdefender — it's a different job. Think of it as the cleanup specialist: it's excellent at catching adware, spyware and those "potentially unwanted programs" that the big suites sometimes wave through, and it's light enough to run beside another scanner without a fight.
Don't run two full antivirus suites at once — they'll conflict. But running one suite (or even free Windows Defender) plus Malwarebytes Premium is a combo I genuinely recommend, especially if you download a lot or have already been burned by an infection once.
